NashamaStart: Empowering Jordanian Tech Startups for Global Expansion

NashamaStart, a year-long project to be implemented by Leaders International (LI) in partnership with the Jordanian Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MODEE). This project stands as a part of the Youth, Technology, and Jobs (YTJ) project, aimed at catalyzing the progress of Jordan’s growing technology sector. This strategic project, aware of the numerous challenges confronting Jordanian tech startups, articulates three principal goals:

  • Empower 48 tech startups through advisory services and legal aid.
  • Facilitate startup entry into established global markets like the United States, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia.
  • Establish enduring connections with MODEE to underpin their sustainable growth.

NashamaStart will provide startups with advisory services to refine business concepts and attract potential investors as well as legal assistance and sustainable access to global markets. Crucially, the project’s focus on sustainability and growth will establish collaborations between startups and other technology stakeholders to support ongoing development in the sector.

The anticipated impact of NashamaStart is significant. By boosting the global competitiveness of Jordanian tech startups, it will drive further foreign investments into the sector, nurture innovation and promote self-employment. Startups supported through the project are also set to establish a presence in leading international markets and strengthen Jordan’s position in the global digital landscape.
