DIGI-Work West Bank: Digital Integration for Generating Innovative Work Opportunities in the West Bank

DIGI-Work West Bank aims to unlock the economic potential of youth and women by equipping them with the skills, tools, and opportunities needed to thrive in the global digital freelancing economy.

Freelancing offers a powerful pathway for job creation in Palestine, but many young Palestinians face barriers such as limited digital skills, lack of business training, and minimal access to global markets. DIGI-Work West Bank addresses these challenges through a focused approach built around two core objectives:

  • Enhancing the digital and business skills of Palestinian youth to succeed as online freelancers
  • Creating pathways to employment and entrepreneurship in the digital economy, including the formation and growth of freelance agencies

To achieve these goals, the project will deliver tailored training in high-demand sectors, upgrade digital infrastructure, and support the launch of 20 digital work agencies. Activities include market analysis, capacity building, access to microgrants, mentorship, and virtual networking events that connect local talent with international clients.

Expected outcomes include hundreds of youth and women equipped for online work, newly established freelance agencies with real earning potential, and a stronger local awareness of freelancing as a sustainable career path.

Ultimately, DIGI-Work West Bank aims to turn digital freelancing into a driver of inclusive economic growth across Palestine.
