PASS: Palestinian Startup Support Program
PASS followed a bottom-up approach in developing the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in Palestine. It focused on the grassroots level to improve the Palestinian entrepreneurial capacity and widen its horizons.
Through its cooperation with 5 universities, it was able to introduce innovation and entrepreneurship as a key module to engineering, IT, and business students. It further supported the commercialization of academic research to generate more innovative ideas and helped them enter the local and global markets.
At the same time, PASS provided scalable Palestinian startups at all stages from ideation to acceleration with technical and financial assistance to help them expand their businesses into regional and international markets.
Such assistance took the form of acceleration programs, capacity building, early-stage funding, investor pitches, and international visits to facilitate the startups’ access to markets.
