PASS: Palestinian Startup Support Program
PASS has followed a bottom-up approach in developing the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in Palestine. It has focused on the grassroots level to improve the Palestinian entrepreneurial capacity and widen its horizons. Through its cooperation with 5 universities, it has been able to introduce innovation and entrepreneurship as a key module to engineering, IT, and business students. It has further supported the commercialization of academic research to generate more innovative ideas and help them enter the local and global markets.
At the same time, PASS has provided scalable Palestinian startups at all stages from ideation to acceleration with technical and financial assistance to help them expand their businesses into regional and international markets. Such assistance has taken the form of acceleration programs, capacity building, early-stage funding, investor pitches, and international visits to facilitate the startups’ access to markets.
