Transform: building the digital transformation capacity of the entrepreneurship and innovation sector-support organisations (SSOs)
A one-year project, supported by Leaders International’s COVID-19-response fund, was initiated to build the digital-transformation capacity of business support organisations (e.g. business incubators, associations, and chambers of commerce) in 8 countries in the Middle East, North Africa, and East Africa.
The project aimed to improve the service-provision mechanisms of these organisations and upgrade their capabilities in transferring the digital know-how and expertise to their micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and startups, and accordingly, guarantee and maintain the sustainability of such digital transformation.
Selected organisations received a two-month training program to develop their own digital transformation strategies, followed by a two-month consulting service and follow-up on implementation.
At the end of the project, supported entities had the opportunity to be part of a certified regional network that could apply for joint funding and advance the digital transformation agenda in the targeted regions.
