Tasneem Al-Oran, the founder of Craft Resin Industrial Design, is a 29-year-old geological engineer from Al-Tafileh whose business started by her love for art and technology. Her remarkable entrepreneurial endeavor merges traditional handicrafts with cutting-edge technologies such as resin, laser cutting, and 3D printing. Through her products, Tasneem has created a lasting impact on her community and empowered others by offering training and promoting entrepreneurship. Tasneem’s love for both art and technology as well as her desire for independence were the driving forces behind her business. “I wanted to create something unique that blends creativity with craftsmanship, while also helping people around me,” she says.  She envisioned a business that combined her love for traditional artistry with modern technological advancements, all while creating opportunities for others. By focusing on empowering her local community, especially women and youth, she offered avenues to unlock their potential, learn new skills, and set sail  on their entrepreneurial paths.

Craft Resin Industrial Design is more than just a business to Tasneem, it is a transformative community initiative. Through this, she was able to train dozens of women in the art of resin techniques, allowing them to start their own businesses and gain financial independence. Additionally, she supports local youth by providing raw materials at low prices, enabling them to create their own small businesses. By offering this support, she has played a pivotal role in building a new wave of local entrepreneurship and self-reliance.

In addition to empowering individuals, Tasneem has introduced modern technologies to her community, sparking creativity and innovation in Al-Tafileh. The fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology has inspired her community. Tasneem’s entrepreneurial journey underwent many challenges, including limited funding and  lack of market knowledge. Despite these obstacles, she remained determined, focusing on creating high-quality products that meet customer needs. She started small, reinvesting her profits into her business to grow her brand.

Tasneem takes great  pride in her achievements. “I started from scratch and turned my dream into a thriving business,” she says. “Being recognized as an Entrepreneurship Ambassador of Al-Tafileh and receiving honors from Her Majesty Queen Rania’s office were unforgettable moments.” Tasneem’s greatest source of pride is balancing her professional life with her personal responsibilities. Through her accomplishments, she continues to inspire both herself and those around her.

What means the most to Tasneem, however, is the impact her work has had on others. “When I see women starting their businesses or youth achieving success because of the support I’ve provided, I know my efforts are making a real difference.” Her venture, filled with significant milestones, is not only a personal triumph but also a source of inspiration for others. The support of her family, especially her husband Ahmad, has been instrumental to her success. 

Tasneem’s role as an Entrepreneurship Ambassador of her governorate has been crucial to her success. The “Entrepreneurship Champions” project helped her solidify her position as a leader and role model. The platform offered valuable networking opportunities and access to resources, allowing her to expand her business locally. These connections have opened up new possibilities for her and the community she serves.

The future of Crafts Resin Industrial Design is growth. Tasneem has big plans to expand her business to include a comprehensive training center that offers educational programs in modern technologies and handicrafts. Her goal is to empower the next generation of creatives by targeting schools, youth centers, and vocational training institutions.

In addition to expanding training programs, she is exploring integrating cutting-edge technologies like 3D printing and digital dentistry to her product line. Her ultimate goal is to bring Jordanian creativity to regional and international markets, showcasing the talent and ingenuity of Jordanian artists to the world.
